My research investigates how climate change and extreme events, like heatwaves, affect sediment-dwelling macrofauna, as well as intertidal habitats such as bivalve reefs and seagrass meadows. These ecosystems provide crucial nature-based solutions by protecting coasts from flooding and erosion. Understanding their resilience helps safeguard both biodiversity and coastal communities.
