This theme focuses on the transition towards a circular economy, based on renewable materials and sustainable energy. It involves the use of all bio-based material flows in the delta and circularity in water use. We focus on the entire production chain, from the primary sector to the processing industry, catering and retail. When using water, energy and nutrients, circularity is an important principle. One example : through mitigating measures and more attention to biodiversity, argicultural cultivation is expected to change (more diverse, more local, smaller-scale, nature-inclusive.
