Delta Climate Center
Working together
The Delta Climate Center works with companies, organisations and governments on research, education and business development in the areas of sustainable food, water safety and availability and circularity.
The Delta Climate Center is a partnership between six knowledge institutes: Scalda, HZ University of Applied Sciences, University College Roosevelt, the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, Utrecht University and Wageningen University & Research.
These organizations bring in a huge amount of knowledge and expertise. This includes natural and geophysical sciences, technical engineering, , but also social, behavioural, economic and legal disciplines. This unique partnership across the entire spectrum (MBO, HBO, WO) enables us to not only develop coherent insights into complex transitions, but also to actually bring innovative solutions into professional practice. The combination of scientific, applied and practice-oriented research and education is necessary to tackle societal challenges, at local and regional level.
In co-creation with companies, societal organizations, governments and citizens, we develop solutions for concrete challenges in the Zeeland delta. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to have concrete societal impact.
We offer various options to collabore with us; from internships and student assignments, to customized training, curriculum development, (contract) research, participation in multi-year research projects and entrepreneurship/startup development.
We align our activities with relevant agendas, such as the strategic agenda of the Southwest Delta Area 2050.
