Researcher Marine and Delta Governance & Sustainable Communities
As a social scientist, I am interested in why people do what they do. People use, live and work in deltas, on the coast and at sea, thus influencing and being influenced by their environment and how it is managed. How do you get people involved in policy? What knowledge do they have about their environment, and are they willing and able to contribute to a transition or is there resistance to it?
Contributing to sustainable regional transitions in the Zeeland Delta, by making social science methods and theories applicable to trans-disciplinary science for policy.
