The Delta Climate Center is seeking a scientific director.

Together with the business director, he or she will take responsibility for the content of the research and educational projects of the new, innovative knowledge center in the field of climate adaptation. The DCC's projects must generate social and economic impact.

The academic director is responsible for translating the substantive principles and frameworks related to research, education and impact into an implementation strategy and annual plans. Mission

The mission of the DCC is to develop and connect knowledge about the Zeeland delta to answer societal challenges around the transitions to a sustainable, climate resilient and prosperous delta. The focus is on water, energy and food. This takes shape through broad private-public collaborations in research, education and business development.

The DCC aims to realize innovative and impactful solutions for a future-proof delta. The institute is founded by six knowledge institutions: Utrecht University, Wageningen University, HZ University of Applied Sciences, Scalda, University College Roosevelt and NIOZ. The management board consists of a scientific director and business director. The board is accountable to the DCC.

The first round of interviews will take place on Friday, July 14, in Flushing. The second round of interviews will take place August 25 in Vlissingen.
