I study the interaction between the seagrass Zostera marina and the Pacific/Japanese oyster Magallana gigas. Within the scope of the Delta Protein project, we investigate if seagrass can be a nature-based solution to future-proof shellfish farming. I focus mainly on the health of oysters and their microbiota.

What do you want to accomplish at the Delta Climate Center?

Within this project, we will assess if the seagrasses are beneficial to oyster cultivation, particularly in the context of environmental change.
