My research focuses on seaweed cultivation, physiology and life cycle control to improve seaweed cultivation techniques, both on land, near the coast and in offshore systems. In addition, I am investigating the integration of seaweed into fish and shellfish farming as an effective way to increase diversity and improve the sustainability of (marine) food production.

What do you want to accomplish at the Delta Climate Centre?

As part of the Delta Climate Centre community, I want to contribute to the iconic Delta Protein project, which integrates seaweed cultivation as a sustainable and low-trophic bio-resource.
