Practor Water
We face major challenges in relation to sea level rise, salinisation, changing weather patterns and freshwater management.
Scalda's Water practoraat focuses primarily on innovations to address these challenges.
A key question is how we can work together with the various sectors to find solutions for salinisation, freshwater supply, water safety and the design of future-proof coastal and delta areas.
Regional topics:
- Freshwater supply in agriculture
- Climate adaptation in the built environment
- Future-proof water management and quality
- Drought and salinisation
- Design and management of coastal and delta areas
- Aquaculture, nature restoration and circularity
Today's students are an important part of tomorrow's solution.
At the Water Practoraat, we address relevant issues that are relevant to the province and encourage collaboration between the Delta Climate Centre and secondary vocational education, higher professional education and university education, the business community and government.
By allowing vocational students to actively work on relevant issues at the Delta Climate Centre, we aim to strengthen students' research skills and embed relevant innovations and research in education.
