As an environmental historian I research (historical) relations between humans and the Southwest Delta. I focus on how people lived within their environment, and how these relationalities influenced societal formations, patterns and landscape transitions. Moreover, I am interested in how collective and individual memories influence current and future values of the Southwest Delta.
Creating a more-than-human environmental historical narrative that explores how human–environment relationships have shaped the Southwest Delta and continue to inform contemporary and future Delta Values.
